Help lead Cozy Reading Club using your instructional or literacy experience while J3 provides the curriculum, books, materials, and program structure.

CRC Teacher
Cozy Reading Club is J3 Foundation’s after-school reading program where 3rd and 4th graders can connect, discover books they love, and build confidence as readers.
As a CRC Teacher, you’ll bring your experience as an educator to the club while J3 provides the curriculum, books, materials, and program structure. You’ll work alongside a J3 Club Coach and site-based aides to create an engaging afternoon for students, with no extra lesson to plan.

Session Pay
$83.00 per full session

- Co-lead Cozy Reading Club sessions with the J3 Club Coach
- Facilitate J3’s structured, low-prep reading activities
- Encourage students to participate, explore books, and build confidence as readers
- Help strengthen connections with students and families
- Coordinate with the other adults supporting the session
- Join a brief end-of-session debrief
CRC Teachers should have professional experience supporting literacy or instruction in a school setting.
You may be a:
- Teacher working within Glendale Unified School District
- Reading or literacy interventionist
- Librarian, instructional specialist, or academic interventionist
- Other school-based education professional with relevant instructional or literacy experience
Most importantly, you should enjoy working with children and believe every student can grow as a reader.

This is an independent contractor opportunity with J3 Foundation, not an employment position with J3. Contractors provide services at participating GUSD school sites during scheduled Cozy Reading Club sessions.
CRC Aide
Cozy Reading Club is J3 Foundation’s after-school reading program where 3rd and 4th graders can connect, discover books they love, and build confidence as readers.
As a CRC Aide, you’ll help keep the club organized, engaging, and running smoothly. You’ll work alongside a J3 Club Coach, CRC Teacher, and other site-based aides to support students throughout the afternoon.

2:30 to 5:30 PM

Session Pay
$67.50 per full session

- Help prepare the room and materials before students arrive
- Support snacks, movement breaks, and Power-Up Activities
- Assist with Cozy Reading Club activities
- Encourage students and help them stay engaged
- Help students check books in and out
- Support clean-up and dismissal
- Join a brief end-of-session debrief
CRC Aides should enjoy working with children and be comfortable supporting students in an after-school setting.
You may be a:
- Classroom aide or instructional assistant
- Campus or school support staff member
- Office or administrative staff member
- Other GUSD employee interested in working with students after school
You do not need to be a teacher or literacy specialist. Most importantly, you should be dependable, encouraging, and excited to help create a positive experience for students.
